Fifteen Minute No- Bake

Patriotic Angel Food Cake

Ingredients:

1 of your favorite store bought Angel Food cakes

1 16 oz. Jar marshmallow fluff

2 8 oz. tubs cool whip

2-3 Tbsp Almond extract

Triple Berry Jam (optional but encouraged)

Fresh berries

Handful of fresh mint (optional)

Toothpicks

2 large ziploc bags or piping bags

Instructions:

  1. Make 2 layers of toothpicks around your angel food cake. This helps your layers to be cut evenly.

  2. Following your toothpicks, cut the cake into three layers.

  3. Meanwhile, whip together cool whip, almond extract, and marshmallow fluff.

  4. Place fluff mixture into ziploc/ piping bags and pipe evenly on the bottom layer.

  5. Totally optional, but we added a thin layer on top of the marshmallow fluff mix of berry jam. We think, no pun intended, this takes the cake.

  6. Add a layer of fresh berries on top of fluff layer.

  7. Repeat for all layers including top of cake.

  8. Garnish with fresh mint leaves (optional)

  2. Using a small star shaped cookie cutter, cut 20 or so stars out of mozzarella. Cut up the excess to go in the salad

  3. Drizzle with balsamic vinaigrette

  4. Add dash of olive oil and salt and pepper to taste

  5. Garnish with fresh basil

1/2 C. Blue Curacao

1/2 C. Crushed Pineapple

1/4 C. White Rum

Whip Cream

  1. Blend strawberries and 2 Tbsp. white rum, set aside

  2. Clean blender and blend remaining ingredients (besides whip cream)

  3. In a glass, add a layer of red, strawberry mix.

Red, White, and Blue

Dump Cake

Ingredients:

21 oz can cherry pie filling

21 oz can blueberry pie filling

1 box white or yellow cake mix

3/4 Cup butter- sliced

Sweetened shredded coconut

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350 and grease 9x13 pan with nonstick cooking spray

2. Alternatively spoon the pie fillings into the pan. Make about 2” wide “stripes” with each kind until pan is full

3. Evenly spread cake mix over top of pie fillings (don’t mix)

4. Evenly place the sliced butter on top of the cake mixture. It’s super important to evenly space them because this is what cooked the cake mix on top

5. Add desired amount of shredded sweetened coconut on top. This is totally optional but SO good! Even people who aren’t huge fans of coconut say this makes the whole cake

6. Bake for 50-60 min.

Serve warm with ice cream! Enjoy!
